Free meals available for children in Davidson County this summer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- Thousands of Nashville children can receive free breakfast and lunch this summer through the Metro Action Commission's (MAC) Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

The program is designed to make sure children who normally receive free or reduced lunches during the school year receive nutritious meals during June and July.

Free air conditioners available for ‘at risk’ households

Lisa McCrady Beverly, director of communications for the Metro Action Commission, said they provide about 5,000 meals a day at nearly 100 locations throughout Davidson County.
