Young Arkansas voters gearing up for November election

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - With less than 100 days to go, Americans are gearing up for November's election and one group of voters could make the most impact. 

When Americans take to the polls in November, they'll be deciding on the future of our country. For Arkansas voters Jaime Gardner and Wil Cheatham, that's a conversation they want in on.

"I wanted to be more involved in the policies that speak more to me," Gardner explained.

Both Cheatham and Gardner had their interest sparked over the past few years: Gardner after college, and Cheatham in law school. But it's what's happening now that has them taking action. 

"I've been tracking them heavily, all the campaigns," Cheatham said, while Gardner added, "I've also been to a couple of rallies, [and] I plan on going to candidate forums closer to election day."

Cheatham and Gardner are just two examples of a new wave of political engagement, the next generation of voters making an impact. The past few elections have seen a record turnout of Millennials and Gen Z taking to the polls, a trend that's only expecte...
