1.4K Hawaiʻi Island residents power restored; 2.9K still without power

Hawaiian Electric crews have restored power to over 1,400 customers on Hawaiʻi Island since August 25, though approximately 2,920 customers remain without electricity with full restoration in some areas not expected until September 8.
