HAGERSTOWN, Ind. (WISH) — A man and a woman died Monday night in the crash of a semitractor-trailer and a passenger car in northwestern Wayne County, the sheriff told News 8.

Maj. Alan Moore with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release issued Tuesday afternoon that the crash was reported just after 8:15 p.m. Monday. Sheriff Randy Retter said Monday night that the crash happened on State Road 1 near Charles Road. That’s about 4 miles west of the town of Economy and 4.5 miles north of the town of Hagerstown.
