2 dead, 2 injured, and a suspect in custody after Bloomington house fire

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — An investigation is underway after a house fire was reported early Sunday morning on the 3800 block of East Anderson Road, right by East Dora Road.

Monroe County Sherriff’s Department say officers arrived to the scene at 2:40 a.m. where they discovered a vehicle crashed into a garage that was actively on fire. They also found four victims.

Two victims who lived in the residence were found dead at the scene.

The two other victims had burn injuries and were sent to a hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.

About an hour later, deputies located a suspect who is now in custody at Eskanzai Hospital in Indianapolis for injuries related to the fire. Charges are pending in relation to the fire.
