INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department violent crimes unit detectives arrested a 21-year-old man for his alleged role in the October 2025 murder of 22-year-old Tervon Townsend.

At 6:50 p.m. Oct. 10, IMPD Southwest District officers were dispatched to a gas station in the 4700 block of Kentucky Avenue on a report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found Townsend on the ground with gunshot wounds. Medics arrived and transported Townsend to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
