CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A person took four rifles from a Crawfordsville department store on Tuesday evening, and federal authorities and a shooting sports group are offering a possible reward for information.

The Columbus, Ohio, field division of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on Friday shared a photo of a person from what appeared to be surveillance video.

A news release issued Friday from the ATF said the burglary happened in the evening hours Tuesday at the Runnings department store, at 1601 U.S. 231 in Crawfordsville. That’s in an area on the south side of the city with a few homes and multiple businesses. It’s just southwest of the highway’s intersection with Montgomery County Road 150 South.

The rifles were taken from a rack in the store, the release said.

ATF’s Indianapolis Field Office and the Crawfordsville Police Department were investigating the burglary. If a suspect is found and convicted, a reward of $5,000 is possible from the ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a Connecticut-based trade association for the firearms industry.
