Addressing confusion over Hoosick Falls PFOA Settlement

For years, Hoosick Falls residents drank water contaminated with the cancer-linked chemical PFOA. DuPont, the company behind Teflon, agreed to pay $27 million to settle the water contamination case. As settlement checks are set to go out next month, some people received letters that said their claim was denied.
