Arkansas Storm Team Blog: Does the drought persist or improve this Spring?

The drought has persisted on and off since June of 2025, but it deepened from November 2025 to the present. It'll take between 11 and about 20 inches of rainfall over the next 2 months to lift Arkansas out of the drought. The latest seasonal drought outlook shows a lot of the state may persist in drought through the end of May, but northeast Arkansas may improve.
