At least two people are dead and eight others are in critical condition after a shooting Saturday at Brown University in Rhode Island.
School officials confirmed an active shooter was reported at about 4 p.m. near the Barus and Holley engineering building on Hope Street.
Authorities are searching for a suspect, described as a man dressed in black last seen leaving the building on foot, according to Providence Police Deputy Chief Tim O'Hara.
No weapons were found at the scene, officials said.
A shelter-in-place order remains in effect for the greater Brown University area.
