Police say suspect arrested weeks after 39-year-old was critically wounded

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore man has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder weeks after a daytime shooting on York Road left a 39-year-old man critically injured, police said.

The shooting occurred at approximately 2:37 p.m. on June 5 in the 4500 block of York Road.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, responding officers found a 39-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Northern District shooting detectives assumed control of the investigation.

On July 15, warrant apprehension detectives arrested 42-year-old Dazsawn Elliot of Baltimore without incident.
