Baltimore police arrest 15-year-old in armed scooter robbery of teen

A juvenile suspect already on home monitoring was taken into custody days after a gunpoint robbery in Southwest Baltimore.

BALTIMORE, MD – A 14-year-old was confronted in broad daylight on a West Baltimore street when a suspect on a scooter allegedly pulled a gun and demanded a watch, according to the Baltimore Police Department. The robbery, reported at about 3 p.m. on April 2 in the 100 block of North Calhoun Street, triggered a multi-day investigation that led detectives to a 15-year-old now facing armed robbery charges.

Police said the suspect fled immediately after taking the watch, but a detailed clothing description provided by the victim helped guide the investigation. “A thorough clothing description of the suspect was provided to officers,” the Baltimore Police Department stated.
