INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s polished appearance is the result of a year-round effort by a dedicated paint crew that helps keep the Racing Capital of the World looking its best.
The crew uses about 500 gallons of paint each year to maintain the 1,000-acre facility, including racetrack walls, curbs, track surfaces and buildings.
“One of the things that I love about the Speedway is there are so many jobs there that you would never expect,” said Zach Horrall, IMS director of digital marketing. “You would never expect that we have an entire paint crew.”
