$16,745 TAKE 5 top prize ticket sold at Manhattan convenience store
Manhattan, NY – One lucky New York Lottery player walked away with a $16,745 top prize after purchasing a winning TAKE 5 ticket for Thursday night’s drawing at a convenience store in Manhattan, officials announced Friday.
The ticket was sold at Broadway Convenience, located at 2482 Broadway. It matched all five numbers drawn during the January 25 TAKE 5 Evening game, which selects five numbers from a pool of 1 through 39.
TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., offering frequent chances for players to win. Prizes must be claimed within one year from the date of the drawing.
The winner has not yet come forward, and the New York Lottery has not disclosed whether the prize has been claimed.
The Lottery, which generated $3.6 billion in contributions to New York public schools during the last fiscal year, continues to be the largest and most profitable in North America.
