Biologists check black bear dens for cubs, gathering important data and educating public

Every year near the end of winter, biologists with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources get up close and personal with wild black bears. Their work provides data that gives a better understanding of the state’s bear population and serves to educate the public about the animals living in their backyards.
