Bridge demolition to close several Indy interstate ramps

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Bridge demolition will force overnight interstate ramp closures on Indy’s northeast side beginning Monday.

Demolition is scheduled on the former bridge from southbound I-69 to southbound I-465 over Binford Boulevard, the Indiana Department of Transportation says. Crews opened the new ramp and bridge last month.

Overnight ramp closures are expected over the next two weeks while crews tear down the old bridge.

Drivers can expect the following ramp closures and restrictions from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night:

Monday, Feb. 16, Friday, Feb. 20, Monday, Feb. 23, Tuesday, Feb. 24 

• Ramp from EB I-465 to SB Binford Boulevard closed 
• Ramp from SB I-69 to SB Binford Boulevard closed 

Tuesday, Feb. 17, Thursday, Feb. 19, Saturday, Feb. 21 

• Ramp from EB I-465 to SB Binford Boulevard closed 
• Ramp from SB I-69 to SB Binford Boulevard closed 
• No access to NB I-69 from NB Binford Boulevard at 75th Street 

Wednesday, Feb. 18 

• No access to NB I-69 from NB Binford Boulevard at 75th Street
