
Police say a suspect struck a passenger and stole jewelry before fleeing on foot in the Bronx.
BRONX, N.Y. – A 42-year-old man was punched and robbed while riding an MTA bus Friday afternoon near the intersection of East 188 Street and the Grand Concourse, according to the NYPD. The attack unfolded around 4:15 p.m., when an unidentified individual approached the victim and struck him in the face.
The suspect then forcibly removed the victim’s earrings and chain before exiting and fleeing on foot eastbound along East 188 Street. The victim’s condition has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made.
