Bronx pharmacy sells $30K winning TAKE 5 ticket in evening lottery drawing

BRONX, NY — One lucky lottery player walked away with a five-figure windfall after purchasing a top-prize TAKE 5 ticket worth $30,926 for Monday night’s drawing in the Bronx.

The winning ticket was sold at Amato Pharmacy, located at 619 East 187th Street. The prize was the top payout in the January 22 TAKE 5 evening drawing, which is held daily at 10:30 p.m.

TAKE 5 drawings occur twice a day, offering players two chances every day to win by selecting five numbers from 1 to 39.

All TAKE 5 prizes, regardless of amount, must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.

The New York Lottery reports it remains the highest-grossing and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing $3.6 billion in education funding to public schools across New York State during the 2024–2025 fiscal year.
