INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two Indiana Fever stars are heading to Germany this fall — and their head coach is going with them.
Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston have been selected to represent USA Basketball at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin, Germany, running September 4-13. Fever head coach Stephanie White was previously named an assistant coach for the U.S. team.
It’s the first FIBA Women’s World Cup appearance for both players. They also become just the second and third Fever players ever to represent the U.S. in the tournament, joining Fever legend Tamika Catchings, who competed in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
Clark was named MVP of the FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in March, averaging 11.4 points and 6.4 assists per game as the U.S. won the championship. Boston was originally selected for that roster but missed the tournament due to injury.
The U.S. opens pool play against China on September 4, followed by Italy on September 6 and the Czech Republic on September 7.
