Celebrate the New Year with a Capital Region hike

Each year, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) encourages people to get outdoors and celebrate the New Year with a First Day Hike on January 1. This 15th annual event includes free walks and hikes with most being family-friendly and ranging from one to five miles.
