That’s right — she’s returning to the stage for 10 concerts in Paris this fall.

“This year, I’m getting the best gift of my life. I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you, once again, in Paris,” she announced in a video message to fans.

That alone would be news. But what makes it extraordinary is what she was told not long ago — that this moment would likely never happen.
