BALTIMORE, MD — A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Baltimore’s Central District late Tuesday night, authorities said.

The violence unfolded around 9:07 p.m. in the 700 block of East Eager Street, where patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Emergency crews transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
