Curling club sees increased interest amidst Olympics
ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — After the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Ron Sinicki wanted to give curling a try. So, he signed up for a “Learn to Curl” clinic at the Circle City Curling Club.
Four years later, he’s still a member of the club. He also now teaches others the sport at the club’s rink in Anderson.
“They call curling chess on ice,” Sinicki said. “It’s a very cerebral, strategic game, and the strategy during a game changes with every rock thrown. So it’s very much a thinker’s game as well, and I really like that.”
