Clarksville cub scouts awarded Medal of Merit after saving grandfather's life

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Two young heroes in Clarksville are being recognized and celebrated for their acts of bravery that are credited for saving their grandfather’s life. 

Clarksville Cub Scouts Christopher and William Schroeder were recently awarded the Medal of Merit during Cub Scout Pack 503’s annual Blue and Gold Banquet held on Friday, Feb. 9. for their courage and quick thinking. 

Back in May of 2023, the boys’ grandfather went from feeling ill to full cardiac arrest. The scouts sprang into action and advised their grandmother to call 911, according to Cubmaster Chris Williams.
