Cold front will move through this evening

Yesterday brought more smoke from Canada creating a code purple air quality alert day. This was smoke we could see and smell, creating unhealthy outdoor conditions. This morning, expect some smoke around but it'll try and clear as rain chances increase. The bigger weather story for the day is the scattered downpours and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The cold front causing this active weather won't arrive until the evening.
