County employee dies as crew works on trees: ECPS

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — An Escambia County employee is dead after a work-related incident, according to the EC Public Safety department.

The employee died around 9:02 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, after an incident along Detroit Boulevard near Cove Avenue.

GENERAL INCIDENT LOCATION:

The county's crew was working on trees when the undisclosed incident happened, according to a county spokesperson.  

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death.

The county cannot provide more information while the investigation is underway, according to the spokesperson.
