LOS ANGELES (WISH) — IU football has experienced unprecedented success this season, completing its first perfect regular season (12-0) and reaching the No. 1 ranking for the first time in program history.

The success is in part driven by the duo of head coach Curt Cignetti and quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Mendoza has had himself a historic season, becoming the first IU player to win the Heisman Trophy.

Cignetti told Sports Director Anthony Calhoun what he wants to see from Mendoza in the matchup against Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
