INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is set to be an unrestricted free agent after signing a one-year, $14 million deal for the 2025 season.
He shared his thoughts on returning to the Colts.
“I’d love to be back,” Jones said. “I think there’s a business side to it all, like I said, and I think the organization here top down is first class and I think the Irsays, Chris (Ballard), Shane (Steichen), everybody here, I’ve really enjoyed working with. We’ll let my agents and representation handle those conversations, but I’ve really enjoyed being here.”
Jones threw for 3,101 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions this season. He was 8-4 in games he started and finished.
Jones had his highest completion percentage (68%), QBR (63.7), and passer rating (100.2) of his career with the Colts this season.
“We did some good things earlier in the season and were able to get into a rhythm there for a little bit, but we didn’t do enough ultimately and you look back at those games where it didn’t go as well as it could’ve or you could’ve done more to finish it, especially there at the end,” Jones said. “I think about the Houston and Kansas City game, and some of those situations.”
