Danville police officer injured while directing traffic for Paddy’s 5K Run

DANVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A Danville police officer’s foot was ran over while they were directing traffic for the Danville Parks & Recreation Paddy’s 5K Run and Walk on Tuesday.

According to a statement from Danville Police Department, just after 6 p.m. a “Danville Police Officer’s foot was driven over by a civilian vehicle” as they were directing traffic at the intersection of Sycamore Lane & East Columbia Street.

Police say the officer sustained “very minor injuries” and is receiving treatment.

No enforcement action is being taken, according to police.
