Davis, California sees second fatal park stabbing in four days

Davis, California, police are investigating the second fatal stabbing to occur in the city, after a man was found with multiple stab wounds in Davis Park on Saturday night.

The Davis Police Department said a resident called 911 and reported hearing a disturbance in Sycamore Park near Sycamore Lane and Colby Drive at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.

The resident told the dispatcher he went outside to find out what occurred and found a man with what looked to be multiple stab wounds, before calling 911.

When police and emergency crews arrived, they found the victim, who was identified by police as a man in his early 20s and pronounced him dead at the scene.
