Demi Lovato Changes Upcoming Concert Plans, Citing Her Health: ‘I Am So Sorry’

Demi Lovato is putting herself first.

The “Cool for the Summer” singer, 33, pushed back the opening of her upcoming It’s Not That Deep Tour, which was scheduled to kick off April 8 in North Carolina — and told fans she needed to prioritize her well-being.

“My Lovatics — I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, February 10.

“While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible,” she continued. “To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.”

Lovato will now kick things off April 13 in Orlando, Florida, where she was originally scheduled to play on April 10. She said she will no longer perform in Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Denver.
