Doctor warns of “Holiday Heart Syndrome” as cardiac emergencies spike this season

Doctors are urging San Diegans to not ignore their heart health during the holidays, as research shows this time of year sends more people to the emergency room with heart-related issues than any other season, due to increased alcohol consumption, changes in diet and exercise, and higher stress levels.
