Dolphin tourism negatively impacts Hawaiʻi's sacred spinners: UH Report

A new study has found that spinner dolphin calves make up only 9% of the spinner dolphin population off Hawaiʻi Island, which is much lower than the expected 17%, suggesting that the population may not be replacing itself quickly enough and that stronger protections are needed.
