Downed telephone pole closes street on Waialae Avenue for hours

Drivers may have noticed backed up traffic along Waialae Avenue on the morning of Dec. 21. Heading west, the street closed from 17th Avenue to 15th Avenue due to downed power lines, Honolulu Police Department reported around 6:25 a.m.
