INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Final Four was wrapping up Monday and, for many downtown Indianapolis businesses, it’s been a major win.

For businesses in the middle of it all, Thursday though Monday delivered exactly what they were hoping for.

“It’s been the busiest weekend we’ve had since we’ve opened in 2019. I would say Illinois and Michigan fans turned out for sure over the weekend. I know Illinois is out but we got some Michigan fans and I suspect we’ll get some UConn fans in this evening as well,” said Bryan Hillard, director of operations at The District Tap.

Hillard says profits were about 25% higher than expected, in the mid six-figures. He says preparation was key.
