Man critically hurt in shooting downtown

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person is in critical condition after being shot in Downtown Indianapolis early Saturday morning.

Just before 2 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to 48 East Washington Street on a report of a person shot. That’s near Pennsylvania Street.

When officers arrived, they found one person shot. Police did not provide any details on the victim.

Police say one person was detained on the scene and that there is no threat to the public.
