Driver dies in Clinton County crash after evidence suggests shots were fired at car

FRANKFORT, Ind. (WISH) — Clinton County police are conducting a death investigation after officers found the driver of a crashed car dead Saturday night.

According to Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 9:17 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South County Road 200 West on Indy’s west side on a report of a single vehicle crash with a possible fatality.

Officers arrived to find a vehicle in the field on the west side of the roadway. The sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Evidence at the scene indicates that shots were fired at the crashed vehicle.

The victim’s name and cause of death has not yet been released.
