INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One man is dead following a crash on the east side of Indianapolis.
At about about noon, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers were dispatched to East 16th St. and North Shadeland Avenue on reports of a personal injury accident.
There, police found an SUV and a pickup truck involved in a crash.
Investigators say that the pickup truck was travelling southbound on Shadeland when it struck the SUV that was travelling westbound on 16th.
Indianapolis Fire Department helped get the adult male passenger out of the SUV. Both him and the adult female passenger were taken to the hospital.
The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The adult male driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.
Police say that they believe impairment was not a factor.
