ECHL, players’ union reach tentative deal

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A player strike in the ECHL may be over – the league announced Saturday night that it reached a tentative deal with the Professional Hockey Players Association.

Both the Indy Fuel and the Fort Wayne Komets play in the league, which sits two tiers below the NHL.

Details about the tentative agreement have not been released. The PHPA has not said when players will vote on the proposed contract.
