INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Advocate and author Elizabeth Smart will appear in Indianapolis on Feb. 17 for a conversation about her memoir and a panel discussion on resilience.

The event will take place at Newfields from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The evening will focus on Smart’s new book, “Detours: Hope & Growth After Life’s Hardest Turns” and is presented in collaboration with the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault and BSTIX. Organizers say the event is intended to raise public awareness and provide safety tools for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
