Escondido Mayor Dane White pressured to drop ICE contract

Opposition to an Escondido Police Department contract to allow ICE agents to use the department's outdoor training facility came to a head Wednesday night at a public hearing. After a five-hour hearing, the Escondido City Council voted in favor of keeping the contract that runs through January of 2027. Escondido Mayor Dane White joined "Good Morning San Diego" to explain the outcome.
