Two people were found fatally shot in separate vehicles in Escondido early Tuesday, an incident that is being treated by police as a potential murder-suicide, officials said.
Police responded to an incomplete 911 call around 4:45 a.m. on Ohio Street near Elm Street, according to Lt. Ryan Hicks.
When police arrived, they found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle, Hicks said. In a neighboring parked car, they found a woman who had also died from being shot.
Investigators believe there are no outstanding suspects at the moment, according to Hicks.
No other information about the incident was immediately available.
