INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The first 24 to 48 hours after floodwaters recede can be critical for Indiana homeowners returning to damaged properties.
Angie Hicks, co-founder of Angi and an Indiana home expert, said residents should wait until local officials confirm it is safe to return. Homeowners also should document the damage before beginning cleanup.
“Go ahead and document everything because you’ll need that later,” Hicks said.
