INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Shoppers are wasting no time getting ready for the expected weekend winter storm.

“We got ice melt and my new snow removal tool,” said Paul Strohm, a shopper.

“I live with a few friends, and I don’t think we have ever prepared for a storm like this before,” said Carys Habig, a shopper. “I got a shovel, paper towels, and toilet paper.”

The owner of Sullivan’s Hardware & Garden says it has been a steady stream of customers coming through the door the past two days. He says the most popular item that is flying off the shelf is ice melt, but shovels, hand-warmers, and even sleds are quickly dwindling, too.
