Expert says cyberattacks are main Iran threat for Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indiana University professor with extensive experience in the Middle East said Iran poses little threat of a direct terror attack in Indiana, though cyberattacks could become a problem.
Jamsheed Choksy directs the Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center at IU. He has done extensive fieldwork in a number of countries in central and southwest Asia, including Iran. In an interview with News 8 for Sunday’s “All INdiana Politics,” he said the Iranian government’s ability to carry out terrorist attacks on U.S. soil has historically been very limited.
