CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — Bike Carmel will being Friday as part of National Bike Month.
The schedule outlines a spring and summer filled with a variety of bike-focused activities for all ages through September, said a news release issued Wednesday. Events will include family-oriented rides, activities focused on National Bike Month, and special excursions through the city’s roundabouts.
Coffee on the Monon will be from 8-10 a.m. Friday, featuring coffee from Prufrock Coffee Company on the Monon Greenway in Midtown. A special Coffee on the Monon event will also be on May 15 to celebrate National Bike to Work Day with free coffee from Just Love Coffee Cafe. Subsequent Coffee on the Monon events, with coffee courtesy of Just Love Coffee Cafe, will be from 6:30-9 a.m. on the fourth Friday of each month through September.
National Bike to School Day is scheduled for Wednesday, encouraging students and families to bike to school for healthy habits and environmentally friendly transportation.
Family Fun Ride events are scheduled for May 9, June 6, June 20 and July 11 along Carmel’s paths and trails.
