CUNOT, Ind. (WISH) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Indianapolis is joining the search for missing Owen County teen Lexie Mitchell.
Mitchell, 17, was last seen at her home in Cunot between 11:30 a.m. and noon on March 31.
According to the Owen County Sheriff’s Office, Mitchell was described as a white female, with long red/auburn hair and blue-green eyes. She was reported wearing blue jeans, a white windbreaker jacket, and white boots.
The FBI says while it is providing additional resources, ISP and the Owen County Sheriff’s Office are still the lead agencies.
Anyone with information on Mitchell was asked to contact the Indiana State Police Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114.

Cunot is an unincorporated community in Owen County, about twenty miles north of Spencer, Indiana, or an hour’s drive southwest from downtown Indianapolis.
