INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana University star quarterback Fernando Mendoza has officially declared for the NFL draft!

The Heisman-winning Hoosier announcement came via a LinkedIn post Friday morning, paired with an updated profile frame reading, “#OPENTOWORK.”

The post read, “Let’s get to work. I’m humbled to announce that I am officially declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft!”

Mendoza had one year of eligibility left in college football.

ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. projects him as the No. 1 Overall Pick in the draft. The Las Vegas Raiders have the first selection in this year’s draft in April.
