Fire damages kitchen at Grand Park Events Center

WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — A fire broke out early Wednesday morning at the Grand Park Events Center, causing damage to the kitchen area but no injuries.

The fire, reported at 2:29 a.m. Wednesday, was quickly contained, the Westfield Fire Department said in a social media post.

The Grand Park management said the fieldhouse and the playing surfaces were not damaged, and that no disruption to scheduled events was anticipated. Management also said, in their own social media post, that no one was present when the fire broke out.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, the post said.
