Five deaths on DKI Highway prompt emergency safety measures

Five people have died on Daniel K. Inouye Highway in May and June, prompting the DOT to declare emergency safety work, including installing a high-friction road surface, reviewing passing zones, and looking into speed cameras, as well as increased enforcement and citations.
